This village sits on the cusp of Snaefellsjokull National Park, a spectacular reserve around the Snaefellsjokull subglacial volcano. This incredible area is thus very easy to explore from Tradir, and boasts other attractions such as the Djupalonssandur black sand beach.
Outside of the national park, sites such as Gerduberg, a cliff face with hexagonal basalt columns, and Kirkjufell, a church-shaped mountain that featured in Game of Thrones, can be reached in 50 and 30 minutes respectively.

Those coming to Tradir Guesthouse have three options for accommodation. There are six double rooms with two single beds that can be pushed together, and two quad rooms, with two sets of bunk beds. Both of these choices are comfortably furnished with cosy linens and have access to communal bathrooms with showers, a spacious shared kitchen, and a welcoming dining room.
Alternatively, guests can book a comfortable, rustic two-bedroom cottage, which has two single beds in each room, and a private kitchen, a living area and a bathroom.
