Location & Nearby
Right in the heart of Laugavegur Street at No 41, the appropriately-named 41 - A Townhouse Hotel sits smack in the middle of Iceland’s capital city. Laugavegur Street is not only one of the oldest streets in Reykjavik but also the city's main shopping drag. There are plenty of boutiques and restaurants outside the hotel's doorstep. But don’t worry – the bars and pubs congregate a block away, so it’s a bit quieter here at 41. The supermarket Bonus sits on the next block if you want to buy snacks and food to cook. It is only 1/2 mile (850 meters) to the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church and the Einar Johsson Museum, the latter showcasing works by Iceland's first sculptor. The Culture House is four blocks northeast while the Sun Voyager is just a few blocks away on the northern seafront.
