AU44 Cottages are in the southwest of Iceland, approximately 60 miles (96 kilometers) east of Reykjavik. The cottages are set within the grounds of a 900-acre equestrian farm that’s just a 15-minute drive from the Ring Road. It’s a great choice of accommodation for people driving the Ring Road and is just over 40 miles (64 kilometers) from the main attractions of the Golden Circle. In under half an hour, guests can reach the world-famous Geysir. Gulfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park are just a little further away, very easily accessible by car.

There are several other nearby attractions too. Urridafoss waterfall is only 20 minutes from AU44 Cottages, and Laugarvatn Fontana spa is just half an hour away. There are four cabins to choose from at AU44 Cottages. All the cottages have been built to a high standard and feature private bathrooms, comfortable beds, and free Wi-Fi. The cabins have contemporary furnishings but are very cozy and warm. All four cottages come with an outdoor patio area and free parking close to the accommodation.

Cottages 1, 2, and 4 (also known as Konnulag, Mylluberg, and Strympa) have modern interiors and geothermal underfloor heating. Guests can enjoy a view of a mountain and the Thjorsa river, the largest glacial river in Iceland. These cabins have one double bed and one pull-out sofa bed, meaning they can sleep up to four guests. They are fitted with a well-equipped kitchenette, so guests are free to cook at home if they prefer.

Cottage 3, also known as Arngrimslundur, is a little more secluded. It has beautiful woodland surroundings and is a great choice for travelers who value tranquillity and privacy. The cottage has a fireplace, a double bed and pull-out sofa bed, and a well-equipped kitchenette for guest use.

The cottages are situated within a large horse farm, and guests can enjoy gazing out at the beautiful Icelandic horses as they graze.
