Day 1
Reykjavík's City Hall in the winter.

Day 1 - Welcome to Iceland

Make your way to your hotel in Reykjavík and get settled in. This first day of your ten-day journey is a free day in Iceland's capital so you can choose whether you spend it unwinding at your accommodations or exploring the city.

You will meet your guide and the other travellers of your group tomorrow, which is when your journey around the country begins.

Day 2
Gullfoss waterfall is one stop of the famed Golden Circle route.

Day 2 - The Golden Circle

On day two, you will start with a short Reykjavík city tour. You'll be picked up in the morning by your guide and start the tour by walking around the downtown area and exploring places such as the old harbour and Hallgrímskirkja church. 

Later on that same day, you will visit all the famous sights of the Golden Circle which include Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Þingvellir National Park.

Day 3 - South Coast and the Glacial Lagoon

Day 5 - East Coast of Iceland

Today we will head to the beautiful coastal region of the Eastfjords. Your view today will include spectacular landscapes, high mountains and deep fjords. 

This night you will stay in Möðrudalur valley, the highest inhabited place in the country, at 469 m (1,539 ft) above sea level.

Day 6 - Lake Myvatn

From Möðrudalur, you'll head to the northern region of Iceland. If the road conditions allow, you'll first make a stop at the magnificent Dettifoss, Europe's mightiest waterfall.

Then you will explore the Lake Mývatn area, one of the most interesting geological and geographical regions of the northern hemisphere. 

Among the interesting sights you will explore on this day is Námaskarð Geothermal Area and the lava labyrinth Dimmuborgir. 

To end the day, you'll take a dip in the warm and relaxing waters of the Mývatn Nature Baths.

Day 7 - Akureyri

On the seventh day, you will visit Goðafoss, known as the waterfall of the Gods. From there you'll explore the town of Akureyri, the biggest town outside of the greater Reykjavík area.

Day 8
The mountain Kirkjufell on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

Day 8 - The Snaefellsnes Peninsula

From Akureyri, the tour continues around the Snæfellsnes peninsula and its magnificent glacier Snæfellsjökull. 

Among places that you will visit is a basaltic pebble beach, framed with strange lava formations, and the hamlet Arnarstapi, where a short stroll along the coastal cliffs is highly recommended. There you'll see how rich the birdlife is around the area, as well how diverse the attractions of Snæfellsnes are.

Hraunfossar waterfalls are on Iceland's west coast.

Day 9 - West Iceland & back to Reykjavik

On day nine, you will head back to Reykjavík and closing the circle. However, there are a few stops to be made before you reach the city.

First up is the old volcano Grábrók, where you'll take a hike to the top, then you'll continue to two waterfalls, Hraunfossar (Lava Waterfalls) and Barnafoss (Children's Waterfall), before visiting Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring.

After that, the tour goes directly to Reykjavík city through the Hvalfjörður fjord.
