Travel in comfort and style along Iceland's most incredible sceneries. The Golden Circle and the stunning South Coast, on this 2-day adventure in a luxury mini-bus. This is a great opportunity if you want to experience some of the very best of Iceland's nature attractions.
Our first destination on the Golden Circle is Þingvellir National Park. A truly historical and geological wonder. Þingvellir is where Iceland's Viking settlers established the National Parliament in the year 930 AD. Here you can see how the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates have moved apart and broken up the surface of the earth.
Our next stop is the Geysir geothermal Park. The hot spring Strokkur shoot boiling water high in the air every five minutes. After this natural spectacle, we make a short trip to the breathtaking waterfall, Gullfoss cascading 35m in 3 steps in to a great canyon.
We will stop for lunch and refreshments.
Now we drive to the picturesque South Coast, and you will see the well known ash-spreading volcano Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers, the steep cliffs of the South Coast with many waterfalls cascading down from the mountains. We will be stopping at attractions such as the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. We stop at the Black Beach of Reynisfjara, with its strange rock-formations in the ocean and hexagonal rocks and caves on the beach. From there we have a vew to the cliffs of Dyrhólaey with its arcs, the white glaciers and volcanos.
After a brief stop in the village Vik we head out to the desert sands of the South Coast, towards our cozy farm hotel where we will be welcomed with a fiest of a dinner and then a well-deserved rest in a private cabin or hotel room. The hotel is in a perfect area for vewing the spectacular nortern llights from September to April.
The next day after a rich breakfast, we speed across the black desert sands and lavafields of the South Coast, towards the mighty Vatnajökull Glacier National Parc. Here, we make a stop at Skaftafell for an easy hike to Skaftafell Glacier. After this we whisk off to the Diamond Beach and the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. We are now travelling through the most amazing landscape of Iceland. Lush farmlands and the highest mountains in Iceland with cracked outlet-glaciers crawling down steep mountains and valleys. Soon we are at the Diamond Beach and the Glacier Lagoon with its enormous floating icebergs and amazing view to the glacier Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Iceland. In winter we take you on a Blue-Ice Caving tour and in the summer when the ice-caves are flooded we go on a Glacier Lagoon boat-tour between the floating blue ice-blocks. After this unique experience of the Vatnajökull glacier natural phenomena's we head back along the South Coast towards the city, enjoying the sceneries of the South Coast again but now from the other direction and with a different view.

Our first destination of the day will be Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is one of the most important locations in Icelandic culture, not only for its role in the country's formation, but also because you can see how the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates have moved apart
Our next stop is the steaming valley of Haukadalur, home to the famous Geysir and Strokkur hot springs. Strokkur is, without doubt, this site's most popular spectacle. Water erupts from the hot spring every five minutes or so, blasting up to twenty meters of boiling water into the air. Here are also other bubbling hot springs and fumaroles.
The final stop of the Golden Circle sightseeing route is Gullfoss waterfall, a 32-metre high feature located nearby to Haukadalur. This is one of the most beloved waterfalls in the country and creates a fabulous plume of mist as it cascades into the canyon below.
When we have completed the Golden Circle, we head down to the South Coast, making stops at the iconic waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss and pass glaciers such as Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. We will then stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach, witness Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar rock stacks. We will also stop at Vík before we head out to our cozy hotel for a delicious dinner.
We will spend the night in new luxury private cottages with bathroom, shower and breakfast included.
Next morning after a rich breakfast we head out to The Vatnajökull National Park, Skaftafell Nature Reserve and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
Enormous ice bergs break off from a nearby glacier and float peacefully on the surface of the still lagoon. Only five minutes stroll away is Diamond Beach, a stretch of black sand shoreline where icebergs drift ashore on their way out to the Atlantic Ocean.
Following on from your time at the lagoon, you have the opportunity to explore the Glacier and its Blue Ice-caves. This is one of the most exciting ways to experience Icelandic nature. The glacier is comprised of moulins, holes and countless frozen sculptures.
After our time at the Vatnajökull National Park we will make a return journey back to Reykjavík, enjoying the stunning scenery of the south coast from a different view. Estimated time back in town is around 20:00
