Explore Iceland in depth, in your own time, and on your own terms, on this Super Jeep tour to wherever you want to go. The freedom that comes with this tour should make it the first choice for any who have the budget for it.
The tour begins when you are picked up from where you're staying in Reykjavík. After that, what you do is entirely up to you. With twelve hours to spare, you can see practically any site within west Iceland, south Iceland, and even much of the Highlands. The opportunities truly are endless.
For example, you could explore the South Coast and catch all of its major sites. These include the waterfalls Skógafoss, Gljúfrabúi and Seljalandsfoss; the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull, and Vatnajökull; the black sand beach Reynisfjara; the villages of Hveragerði, Vík and Klaustur; and the iconic and incredible Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and Skaftafell Nature Reserve.
If you would rather see the west, you can. You can take the length of Hvalfjörður fjord; see the second-tallest-waterfall in the country, Glymur; admire the highest-flowing hot-spring in Europe, Deildartunguhver; and encircle the whole of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. This peninsula is often called Iceland in Miniature as it has a wealth of incredible sites along its length.
Of course, you can also see the sites of the Golden Circle, which include Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir Geothermal Area. This, however, will barely take half your day, so you could separately book tours to do while travelling, such as snorkelling, snowmobiling, or exploring the Ice Tunnels in Langjökull. Your guide will take you to and from them and wait patiently during.
As you are in a Super Jeep, you can take highland roads and mountain paths that other vehicles can't handle.
If you don't know a thing about Iceland, or don't know how to make an itinerary, your guide will happily help you. They are experts on Icelandic nature and can decide your route. If you know what you plan to do, they will still tell you about the landscapes, history and folklore of each area.
