Enjoy the quintessential Icelandic experiences of visiting the Blue Lagoon and sightseeing around the Golden Circle. This combination tour takes two classic excursions and rolls them into one day.

The excursion begins when you board a bus in Reykjavík and are whisked along the Reykjanes Peninsula to the Blue Lagoon. The lunar landscapes and rows of volcanic ridges that define this stretch are sure to engage you as soon as you set off. Please note that admission is not included in the tour price, and you will need to book in advance.

The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s most popular and famed attractions. Azure warm waters, packed with minerals, heal the mind, body and soul, and silica masks are available to revitalise your skin. There are saunas and steam rooms on site, as well as treatments such as massages that you can book. There is also a shop selling unique products from Iceland’s nature, allowing you to take some of the magic here home with you.

After a full three hours enjoying the spa, you will return to your bus, and begin your journey around the three sites of the Golden Circle.

The first of these is Þinvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can stand between the continents, and marvel over the ravines torn open in the earth and the clear water springs that fill them. This is the most important historical location in Iceland, being where the nation’s parliament was first founded in 930 AD.

The second destination of the Golden Circle is the Geysir Geothermal Area in Haukadalur Valley. While the Great Geysir is no longer active, the adjacent geyser Strokkur erupts regularly, ejecting a column of water to heights of over 20 metres. The whole region is steaming and seething with geothermal activity.

Finally, you will reach Gullfoss waterfall. One of the most recognisable features in Iceland, this monumental falls tumbles with enormous power into an ancient valley in two tiers. In summer, you can approach a platform to see it so closely that you can feel the mist of the glacial river refreshing your skin.

At the end of the day, you will be returned to the city of Reykjavík.

Don’t miss these two amazing Icelandic experiences. Check availability by choosing a date.

Please remember to book Blue Lagoon tickets. We had issues as we only booked these tours a week before arriving in Iceland and the Lagoon was full, but we weren't aware when we purchased these tours. Luckily the Lagoon was able to make arrangements for us as we called a few days prior and all was fixed. Starting at the Blue Lagoon means there is less people there when you are and it makes it a very tranquil experience, however, myself and many others were tired for much of the rest of the day. That said, both tours were still wonderful. Our guide for the golden circle was full of character and very informative (not just about the sites we saw, but he also provided suggestions for places to go and things to see in Reykjavik itself).

Excellent tour! Perfect amount of time in the Blue Lagoon to relax. Golden Circle was amazing and a must do in Iceland. These two tours are a perfect way to spend a day.

We flew out on New years eve from Bristol .the day before we flew we booked the Blue Lagoon and Golden circle trip ,unfortunately when we tried to book the Blue lagoon there was no availability for the two days of our trip.on arrival in Iceland at the airport we paid for the transfer to Rejkavik Return which worked out cheaper with Gray Line Bus company which was very good.We stayed at the hotel central klopp which was very Basic but warm and tidy in a good location.New years eve was Crazy with fireworks going off from mid evening till the early hours of the morning .difficult to find anywhere to dine as most Resturants closed early.the following day we were picked up at 6 30 to do the trip we booked Blue lagoon and golden circle,on arrival at the Blue Lagoon 8.00am unfortunately we did try to enter but because we did not book on line we were not able to gain entry and the staff were not very helpful and touch on the Rude side. All we could do was wait in the cafeteria for the next bus to leave at 10.00am.just to add if you go in the winter remember its still Dark until about 11.30 ,so if you are in the lagoon its all pretty Dark.On the whole we had a Good time but its very Expensive and do your homework before you Travel !!

Most of the tour was great, but when we showed up with other people on Saturday at 12:03 at the blue lagoon for our bus to transfer into golden circle...the bus had already left and left us stranded.. We had to hire a taxi to connect us with the golden circle bus..almost a disaster...please advise tourist that buses will leave you even within 3 minutes if late..

Súper lindo todo lo del tour! El tiempo en el blue lagoon perfecto para tomarse una bebida y disfrutar del agua y alistarse para el resto de las cosas!

I liked this tour a lot. It was a standard tour of the golden circle that allowed me to see all the major sites. The tour guide gave a plentiful amount of information which was nice, and even told us information that was beyond the golden circle. The time at each stop was enough, especially since it was cold outside. Geyser was beautiful, as well as the waterfall. ALSO, the amount of time spent at the blue lagoon was absolutely perfect. I was able have enough time to get ready, relax, and pack my things before leaving. I loved this tour and would recommend this to anyone who wishes to visit the golden circle.

Fantastic. Everything I was hoping for and MORE! As educational as it was beautiful. Our tour guide Darren and his driver, Khali were great. Everything was extremely punctual and I would highly recommend booking this trip.

Great trip from 6 until midnights. What a magical country

Everything went smoothly. We took the Express Tour. We started our day at 6:30 AM and we're back in downtown Rejkavik at 7:30 PM. The tour is worthwhile and was sold out, so make sure and book ahead. Everything runs like clockwork. I had enough time at each stop except Blue Lagoon. I felt extremely rushed at the Lagoon and with a 4 hour stop, only had time for 2.5 hours in the lagoon waters. Darren is a very informative and interesting speaker and the highlight for my husband was driving past Game of Thrones filming site, even though it was not part of tour, you will see it out bus window. If you are able to book Blue Lagoon separately on your way to or from airport, I recommend that instead, but for us that was not possible due to our flight times. Book Blue Lagoon tickets early as they are not inluded in this tour and all slots will sell out.

Overall, I really enjoyed everything about this tour. You have to purchase your entrance to the Blue Lagoon separately and I would suggest the earliest slot in the day since it gets quite busy later on.

Book the trip but forgot to book the blue lagoon ticket in advance. When we arrived blue lagoon just find out its too late to book online for the ticket. So we can only book the blue lagoon ticket next day and the bus ticket again. Afternoon golden circle trip is nice. A lot of nice pics were taken there.

We did not realize that this price did not include entrance to the lagoon. We drove all the way out there not knowing if we would be allowed in. Fortunately we got in but it was a worry the whole ride. Other than that, excellent bus, good trip, would recommend.

This was an excellent day tour. The Blue Lagoon was a wonderful experience. The Golden Circle was full of visual pleasures of the landscape. Our tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable of the history of Iceland. We only wish we could have had more time at each stop, but that is to be expected at a day tour.

If you are going to Reykjavik for the first time, I think the golden circle tour plus blue lagoon is a good choice. You are able to experience the essence of the beautiful nature of Iceland without spending too much time on transportation. The guide will introduce the history and fun facts about Iceland when we are on the bus which helps us to better appreciate the landscape. The tour is suitable for children and elder people in the family as it is not physically demanding. Last but not least, the price is reasonable.

The golden circle has so many beautiful attractions it is hard to describe it here. I want to go on this tour again. The relaxation time at the Blue lagoon really made this trip worth every minute and penny. If you can do one tour in Iceland you should combine these two trips in one with this tour. I hope you have a great time like i did!
