Hop on board a minibus for the essential Iceland experience: a tour of The Golden Circle. This journey will take you on a ride to Iceland’s most famous attractions, without the rush and hassle of the big buses.

This tour is for those who wants to immerse themselves in Icelandic culture; you will not only see main sights, you will also get to know Icelandic music and cuisine.

The tour starts in the morning when you are picked up by a small but comfortable minibus. You’ll then be driven to the south of Iceland to a little, hidden treasure called Faxi waterfall. Nestled in a quiet spot, not visible from the main road, Faxi is a low but wide waterfall, named after the mane of the Icelandic horse.

From the little Faxi, you’ll head towards the enormous and mighty Gullfoss. The glacial river Hvítá takes a dramatic 32-metre plunge into a canyon, creating this stunning and beautiful waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic attractions.

Next, you will visit the Geysir geothermal area. Located in Haukadalur valley, the ‘Great Geysir’ is a hot spring that’s been active for approximately 10,000 years.

Although Geysir is now mostly dormant, nearby is another geyser called Strokkur, which spouts water 10-15 metres up in the air every 10 minutes or so, giving you plenty of opportunities to capture the perfect photo.

The last part of the Golden Circle is the Þingvellir national park, a place of great historical and geographical significance. Þingvellir is where Iceland’s parliament, the Alþingi, was founded in the year 930, making it the oldest running parliament in the world. It is also a place where two tectonic plates are drifting apart, which can be seen in the cracks and rock fractions which traverse the region.

Along the way, your tour guide will not only tell you everything about the places you'll be visiting, he will also introduce you to Icelandic culture through music and give you samples of traditional Icelandic food and beverages.

You’ll listen to some of Iceland’s best musicians while travelling the Golden Circle. If you like the music, you’ll be able to find it right away on Spotify with the free wifi on board the minibus. This way you can relive the experience when you get back home.

Don’t miss out on a unique and first-hand introduction to Iceland through this fascinating day tour! Check availability by choosing a date.

Truly an amazing experience. Our guide, Oskar, was full of insights about the country, Icelandic culture, and all of the sights we were seeing. His genuine love of Iceland was contagious, and we really had such a great trip. The mini-bus was comfortable, in great shape, and easy to get on and off. Plus, its smaller size helped us be more nimble than we would have been in a full sized coach. We gave Oskar full credit for the amazing weather we had, and there were picture postcards views at every stop. It was a day full of wonderful sights, and if you are looking for a great tour out of Reykjavík, this is the one.

It was a wonderful tour! The guide was awesome. Funny, informative, helpful and understanding. The bread was really good but since many of my friends on the tour are vegetarians maybe it should have been a vegetarian alternative, or just the bread without the meat on. The weather was shit. But for that no one can be blamed. After a while I got accustomed to being wet and the hot shower I took after the tour was so good the rain was worth it :) The sights was truly wonderful and thanks to the rain the time we spent at each stop was enough. Had it been sunshine I probably would have liked to stay a bit longer at each stop. Apart from being a very expensive country with not so great wether, my stay at Iceland was really nice, and this tour was the nicest part. Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience! //Erik Bonk

Picked up in the morning by our fantastic guide Addy, she provided a great commentary about the history of Iceland, how the parliament came to form and the significance of the various sites we visited. She also provided some icelandic treats for us on the journey (the maltsextract is a firm favourite now!). As for the sites, seeing the Geyser, Parliament Fields and Gullfoss was amazing! Overall, this tour is a perfect introduction to Iceland with the sites and history and was a fantastic start to my icelandic adventure. I'd definitely recommend it and also Addy was a brilliant guide!

Our trip to the Golden Circle was very memorable. Our tour guide, Baldwin, was very informative and took us to many places the big buses don’t go. They were also very accommodating to pick us up at our hotel and return us to our ship. I highly recommend this tour company!

Very informative guide, Gusti. Excellent weather - better than in 2008 when we last did the Golden Circle.

We loved Addy, she was very informative and even took us for an off-schedule trip to see Icelandic horses! I had a lovely chat with her in the bus about Ed Sheeran, and Magnus Scheving.

This is the second time that I have submitted a review of our two trips -- the Golden Circle and the South Coast! We both enjoyed both tours. Yes, the Icelandic scenery was dramatic and beautiful, but more importantly, our tour guide, Bjorn, was great! He was smart, informative, witty, a little quirky, and anxious to provide those little extras which made the trip so much fun! We both feel that he deserves a substantial raise and the executive corner office with the view! Sincerely, David Goldstein and Judy Schweitzer

Our guide was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable but kept the vibe light and cracked plenty of jokes. My friend and I were upgraded for free so that we could enjoy the Secret Hot Springs and we had an amazing time! All the sites were gorgeous, and I loved being able to listen to some wonderful Icelandic music on the mini bus. Thanks for making this the highlight of my time in Iceland!
