Explore the magical underwater world between two continents on this exciting snorkeling tour in the Silfra fissure. Those who want to dive into the clear glacial water between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates should look no further and book this tour today.

First, you'll meet your experienced guide at the Thingvellir National Park, where you'll be briefed about the tour and given the necessary equipment for your snorkeling adventure. Your guide will also provide tips on how to snorkel correctly, what to do when you're in the water, and answer all questions you may have.

For your safety, please ensure that you are physically fit for the activity. Participants must be at least 14 years of age and able to swim.

The underwater site you'll be exploring is Silfra, a fissure located within the historic Thingvellir National Park. This geologically fascinating site was formed in 1789 by the divergent movement of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Silfra has intrigued many travelers worldwide and has been named by National Geographic as one of the best diving sites in the world. After all, it's the only place on Earth where one can jump in and touch two continents!

After putting on your dry suit provided by the tour company, your guide will walk you to the water, which is only a few minutes away. Once there, wait no more and dive in!

Silfra's water stays at around 35 to 39 degrees Fahrenheit (two to four degrees celsius) all year round, so you'll instantly feel the cold water against your body. Thankfully, the dry suit will help keep you warm and buoyant in the water.

The pristine water will greet you, and you'll be happy to discover that you can see clearly underwater. This is because Silfra has one of the most transparent waters in the world, with a visibility of over 328 feet (100 meters) owing to its incredible natural filtering process.

The water originates from Iceland's second-largest glacier, Langjokull, and travels through lava fields and underground rocks before it reaches Silfra. The glacial water is filtered throughout its long journey, producing crystal clear and drinkable water.

As you swim past colorful algae and glide through extraordinary rock formations, you'll appreciate this enchanting marine world more. The stunning underwater landscapes will take your breath away.

Silfra has four distinct sections you will explore on this tour: the Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, Silfra Lagoon, and the deep Silfra Crack, where you can have your picture taken between the continents! The photos taken on this tour will be shared with you afterward and are included in the price.

As you prepare to return to the surface, take a final look at this beautiful marine Icelandic site and enjoy a moment of peace. You'll then be guided out of the water and return all your snorkeling equipment, officially ending your 40-minute tour.

Take advantage of this chance to plunge into Silfra's beautiful clear blue water and swim between two continents. Check availability now by choosing a date.
