Incredible 3 Hour Guided Drysuit Diving Tour in Silfra with Hot Drinks

The North American and the Eurasian tectonic plates pull apart from each other little by little each year creating a continental drift that runs through Iceland. The water that runs through Silfra is filtered glacier water from Iceland’s second largest glacier, Langjökull. This filtration leads to visibility of up to 120-metres and a diving site that no dry suit diver should miss out on.

The diving tour starts at Silfra which is located within Þingvellir National Park. This tour is perfect for self-drive divers that are not planning on returning immediately to Reykjavik and want to continue their journey straight on from Þingvellir National Park.

You must be at least 18 years old to join this tour and have an Open Water certification and dry suit certification. Divers need to speak and understand English instructions. All divers are required to read, fill out and sign a diving medical statement. All divers 60 years and older need to bring confirmation of good health from a doctor.

Divers that have dry suit experience but no official dry suit certification can either bring a log book with 10 logged dry suit dives signed by an instructor within the last 2 years or get a confirmation letter signed by an instructor stating that the diver has the necessary experience to dive at Silfra.

If you do not have a dry suit certification or do not have a dry suit experience than we can not allow you to join this tour.

The dive takes 35-40 minutes and the whole tour takes in total approximately 3-hours. Please note that the drive to Silfra from Reykjavik takes approximately 1-hour. The meeting point is the Silfra car park where you will meet your highly experienced guide who will get you equipped and guide you through Silfra.
