How far can you push your buggy adventure in Iceland?

Join the world-famous Golden circle tour exploring some of Iceland's most exciting attractions, with an added, bonus hour of action-packed buggy driving through the rugged Icelandic wilderness!

The Golden Circle is Iceland's most popular sightseeing route and consists of three major stops; Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Haukadalur Geothermal Valley. Your detour to try buggying the Icelandic wilderness will occur at some point during the day at a time best suited.

Your one-hour buggy ride will present you with the opportunity to get the rally feeling and the adrenaline pumping! Sitting side by side with your buddy, you will drive dirt tracks inaccessible to regular cars, a chance not to be missed! You will climb up to the highland roads, traversing rough terrain and rocky roads, to meet incredible panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Þingvellir National Park is Iceland's only UNESCO World Heritage site, in large part due to it being where the foundation of the Icelandic parliament began in 847 AD. The park itself lies in a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge; the rift is clearly visible and the movement of the tectonic plates pulls the island about 2.5 cm every year. This is one of the main reasons why both the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates stick out from the earth.

The second stop is Haukadalur Geothermal Valley, home to Geysir (a dormant hot spring) and its more active cousin, Strokkur, whicherupts about every 4-8 minutes. Upon eruption, Strokkur spouts hot water 15 to 20 meters high.

Gullfoss or the “Golden falls” comes from the glacier river, Hvítá, and makes up for the final stop of the Golden Circle sightseeing route. As one first approach the falls, the crevice is obscured from view, so that it appears that a mighty river simply vanishes into the earth. Upon closer inspection, however, you will see water roaring 32 metres over two rocky tiers, a truly impressive site.

So don't miss your chance to experience this incredible, eclectic adventure experiencing Iceland's popular attractions and activities! Check availability by choosing a date.
