Are you looking for a unique and memorable Icelandic experience? Well, look no further.
This flight offers a magnificent sight of the very active geothermal area at Mount Hengil volcano. It is a very picturesque and colourful area, where bubbling mud pools can be seen (and smelled) up close and personal. The region is hard to reach for hikers and impassable for vehicles. This means it's tranquil and peaceful and makes the perfect place for quiet reflection. The only disturbances likely would be from sheep that sometimes live close to the warm area.
Here we make a landing and walk around this beautiful geothermal area that belongs to the volcano Hengill. Hissing vents and colourful moss all around. Hengill is one of the largest high-temperature geothermal areas in Iceland.
Keep in mind; this area is not your typical tourist place as it is quite hard to reach. Therefore, you must listen to your pilot's instructions carefully and behave conscientiously towards the nature around you at all times. This is one of Iceland's most hidden gems, and the untouched and raw nature must be treated with respect at all times. For special occasions,, our pilots will pull out the bubbly and make a toast for life. So whether it be a birthday, anniversary or engagement; let us make your experience in Iceland that little bit more magical.
