Join this private tour of Iceland’s South Coast for an intimate sightseeing and glacier hiking adventure. This trip is perfect for those inclined towards luxury, who want to pack as much into their days as possible.

This tour begins when you and your group are picked up from your accommodation in Reykjavík, in a stylish and spacious Mercedes minivan. You will then be whisked out of the capital, for a scenic journey towards your first destination, Seljalandsfoss waterfall.

This feature tumbles from a height of over sixty metres, and because of the concave shape of the cliff that it falls from, it can be fully encircled. The view from behind the narrow cascade, across the fields of the South Coast up to the ocean, makes for some excellent photographs.

After enjoying this picturesque waterfall, you will continue to head along the road to your next stop, Reynisfjara black sand beach. This haunting stretch of coastline is home to some fascinating geology, most notably the Reynisdrangar basalt columns, that tower out to sea. According to folklore, these were once trolls, and they are so striking that they were featured in Game of Thrones, North of the Wall.

After a walk along the beach, you will head to Sólheimajökull glacier tongue, for your hike on the ice. Before you start your ascent, your guide will tell you all about the safety procedures, and provide you with all necessary equipment.

The glaciers of Iceland are incredible places, where you will attain spectacular views of your surroundings. The ice itself is beautiful; the white snow is streaked with black veins of ash and electric blue accents, and crevasses and ridges snake across the surface. You will certainly want your camera in hand to capture your memories here.

Once your hike is complete, you’ll return to your minivan, and begin to drive back to Reykjavík. You will make one more stop, however, at another sixty-metre tall waterfall, Skógafoss. This cascade is much wider and more powerful than the last, creating an enormous cloud of spray as it hits the ground.
