Description

Discover the beauty of Vatnajokull National Park and the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon with this Skaftafell Nature Reserve sightseeing excursion with a professional photographer. This full-day, small-group tour is perfect for travelers who want to explore the natural sights of South Iceland and get some fantastic photos that they can treasure forever.

The tour will begin at your hotel in the city of Reykjavik. Your expert guide will pick you up from here, and you'll make your way along the Ring Road. On the way, the guide will teach you about the history of Iceland and explain the day's activities.

This small-group tour has a maximum of six participants, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask your guide questions about the history and culture of the areas and sights you're seeing.

The day's first stop will be in the small coastal town of Vik. You'll break here to eat lunch and get a cup of coffee. This is your chance to fuel up before the adventure really begins!

From Vik, your guide will take you into Vatnajokull National Park for an incredible three-hour hike on top of the Vatnajokull glacier. Vatnajokull is the largest glacier in the country and is a must-see during your vacation to Iceland.

You'll walk approximately three miles (about five kilometers). Your guide will provide you with all the equipment you need to keep safe on the ice, including helmets, a harness, crampons, and an ice ax.

After this exhilarating outdoor experience, the guide will drive you to the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. Jokulsarlon is an enormous, breathtaking lake filled with ancient icebergs, often called Iceland's crown jewel.

At the Diamond Beach, you'll see the icebergs that have escaped the lagoon and washed up on the black sands. These massive chunks of ice are what give the shoreline its name.

One of the best parts about this excursion is that your guide is not just a tour guide; they're also a professional photographer. They'll take beautiful photos of you in these spectacular places throughout the day, so you'll have a fantastic keepsake to help you remember your time in Iceland.

At the end of the tour, your guide will drive you back to Reykjavik and drop you off at your hotel. They'll edit the photos and send them to you within seven days. You'll receive 30 photos in total, including personal, group, and landscape shots.

Don't miss this opportunity to explore some of Iceland's most beautiful scenery accompanied by a professional photographer on a small-group tour. Check availability now by choosing a date.
