Combine the two most classic Icelandic tours around, with this exploration of the Golden Circle and visit to the Blue Lagoon. This excursion is perfect for those seeking to experience Iceland’s natural beauty and relaxing geothermal opportunities.

You will begin with the sightseeing component of the tour. The Golden Circle is the most popular trail around Iceland, and for a good reason; its three sites are unique, spectacular, and great examples of this country’s diversity. The first of its three locations that you will head to is Þingvellir National Park.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is framed by the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, both of which can be clearly seen. As they have pulled apart, they have torn open many ravines that have since filled with spring water. These fissures lead to a beautiful, serene lake, Þingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland. The park also has a fascinating history your guide can tell you all about.

After Þingvellir, you’ll head to the Geysir Geothermal Area. Images of Geysir erupting have come to represent Iceland around the world, and while it is currently inactive, its neighbour Strokkur is not, ejecting water every five to ten minutes to heights that have been known to reach forty metres. There are many hot springs and mud pools to admire while waiting for the geyser to erupt.

Just five minutes' drive from here is Gullfoss waterfall. One of the most impressive falls in all of Iceland, its powerful cascade falls in two tiers into a canyon carved out in the last Ice Age, and there are many platforms you can watch it from.

Finally, after a long day of sightseeing, you’ll reach the Blue Lagoon. For several hours, you will be able to enjoy the healing, azure waters, silica face masks, saunas and steam-rooms, discovering why this pool is so well-known and esteemed around the world. After recharging, you’ll return to Reykjavík.

Don’t miss this perfect combination of sightseeing and relaxation. Check availability by choosing a date.
