Visit Iceland's most known treasures on this Golden Circle tour, where you will get to see classic destinations that make this nation famous, including Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir Geothermal Area. Complete the day by enjoying the entertaining beer-tasting tour at Ölgerðin brewery in Reykjavík.

Starting from Reykjavík, you will be picked up in the morning and head to Þingvellir National Park, a historical site with a very dramatic landscape. There the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia split and drift apart, forming great cliffs and tearing open ravines, and Iceland’s largest natural lake, Þingvallavatn, spreads out to the south.

It was here, in 930 AD, that Icelanders founded their national parliament, an institution still thriving a millennium later. For this reason, Þingvellir is the only UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Icelandic mainland.

From this momentous location, the tour continues to Gullfoss, the powerful waterfall of Hvítá river, cascading into Hvítárgljúfur canyon. Standing on top of the waterfall allows you to take in the grand scenery and feel the mist on your face. Gullfoss means the Golden Falls, and is thus the very namesake of the Golden Circle.

You will then continue towards Geysir Geothermal Area, where the walking paths steer you around multiple steam vents and sulphurous mud pots, leading you up close to the erupting geyser named Strokkur. It can blast water to heights of nearly 40 metres, in a stunning display happening every few minutes each and every day.

Heading back to Reykjavík, the final stop will be at Ölgerðin brewery where you can soak up the local drinking culture and absorb its history, tasting different types of beverages from Ölgerðin’s main brewery along with a selection of ambitious beers from their award-winning craft brewery.

Don't miss a day of classic sightseeing, complete with a drink or two at a local brewery. Check availability by choosing a date.
