Description

Join this small-group minibus tour where you'll travel the famous Golden Circle route in both style and comfort. You'll not only visit Þingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area and the waterfall Gullfoss, but you will also stop at the crater lake Kerið and a farm where you'll meet Icelandic horses and see a show. Those looking for the quintessential Icelandic experience need to look no further.

After being picked up in the morning, you'll start your journey at the crater lake Kerið. Kerið is a magma chamber that collapsed after an eruption that occurred over 6,000 years ago. You can walk around the edges of the crater to take in the sights of the surrounding landscape or go down to the lake’s shore to admire the turquoise waters and the vivid colours of the crater's slopes.

Next up is Friðheimar farm where you'll meet the Icelandic horse. These animals are famous for their intelligence, small size, friendly demeanour and five gaits. The farmers will put on a show for you where you'll witness first-hand the ability of these remarkable creatures. Lunch (at your own expense) will be held in the greenhouse where you will have the possibility to purchase local products on the menu after a visit of the stables.

You'll hop back on board the bus, this time heading towards Gullfoss, 'The Golden Waterfall', considered by many to be the most beautiful cascade in Iceland. From two viewing platforms you can see Gullfoss' torrential water tumble down two 'steps' before dropping into a 32-meter deep canyon.

Next up is Geysir geothermal area and its steaming hot springs. You will be taken by surprise each time Strokkur spouts water high in the sky every 5 to 8 minutes.

Last but not least is Þingvellir National Park, which is both a historical and a geological landmark. This is where the Icelandic parliament was founded in 930 AD and where you can observe the divergence of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates!

Experience the best of Iceland and do so in luxury with this Golden Circle minibus tour. Check availability by choosing a date.
