Description

Come join this fully guided tour of Iceland's most popular and iconic sites, conducted in the country's famous midnight sun!  This tour is a perfect choice if you are visiting Iceland in June or July and would like to experience the country's legendary bright nights.

The sun never really sets in Iceland in the summer, making the country's wonders look even more spectacular in its golden light. On this tour, you will explore the Golden Circle in the evening, away from the crowds, as you learn a number of curiosities about Iceland, its nature and history.

The first stop on the tour will be one of Iceland's most popular attractions, Þingvellir National Park. Þingvellir is also the place where the world’s first parliament was assembled in 930 AD. Here you will have time to walk in the canyon created by the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates continuously drifting apart.

After that, the tour will continue to Haukadalur Valley, Iceland's famous hot springs area. Get ready to feel the power of nature as you see Strokkur Geyser erupt before your very eyes. The next highlight of the tour will be Gullfoss, also known as the golden waterfall. Once there, we will walk down an adjacent path to admire the waterfall's splendour up close.

Our tour will then continue to Flúðir and the Secret Lagoon. The Secret Lagoon is a beautiful geothermal hot pool where you can bathe and have a drink as you admire the fantastic colours of the Icelandic midnight sun. This is one of the oldest geothermal pools in Iceland, owned by an Icelandic family. It's a tranquil and fascinating place in the middle of Icelandic nature.

The last stop on this fantastic tour will be Kerið, a crater with a volcanic lake. The colours of the water and the rocks are just spectacular here. There is no better place to enjoy the midnight sun in Iceland than from the top of a volcano. From here you will also have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Don’t miss your chance to see Iceland's greatest sights in the distinctive light of the midnight sun! Check availability by choosing a date.

Good to know

The weather in Iceland can be quite unpredictable. Occasionally, especially during winter, the tour itinerary might be altered if weather and road conditions are unfavorable.

In the winter (November to February), due to limited daylight hours in Iceland in the winter, much driving will be done in the dark. While we do our best to make sure you have a great experience of the main attractions, some sites might be visited in dusk or darkness, or even skipped.
