You’ll be picked up close to your accommodation in Reykjavik and taken to the starting point just outside city limits. There, you will embark on a hike up the mountain Úlfarsfell, where you will gain great views of Mt. Esja, Faxaflói Bay, the blue mountains Bláfjöll and the Old Harbour.

On a clear day, you can see stretches of the Reykjanes Peninsula and the geothermal area of Hengill Volcano. You may even be able to spot Snæfellsjökull Glacier on the horizon. No matter the views of the day, you'll feel how invigorating it is to spend time in the nature of the land of ice and fire.

Next, you’ll visit Icelandic horses in their natural environment at the base of Mt. Esja. The Icelandic horse is a special breed descended directly from the first horses brought from Norway more than 1,000 years ago. On-site, you can taste the pure Icelandic water with its source directly from Esja Mountain.

Finally, you’ll take a long soak in a geothermally heated pool in Mosfellsbær to relax your muscles and revitalise your spirits. This activity is amongst the most popular for the locals of Iceland and other travellers alike, so feel free to strike up a conversation with those around you.

After you return to the city, the rest of the evening is yours to explore the restaurants and cafés, take in a show, or simply wander the streets of Reykjavík admiring what you see.

Don’t miss this easy afternoon full of gorgeous views, warm water and authentic Icelandic charm. Check availability by choosing a date.
