Description

Many travel all the way to Iceland with the sole intent of witnessing the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights.

Join us on an adventurous guided tour that takes you to optimal locations for Northern Lights sightings. Far from the city glow, be enthralled by the Aurora Borealis, swirling across the sky in dramatic colors. We can say with certainty that the Aurora Borealis is one of the most unique spectacles that life on Earth has to offer. Iceland is one of the few places on Earth where the odds of catching a glimpse of this exquisite natural phenomenon are quite good during winter.

The Lights come to life when electrically charged particles from the sun collide and enter the Earth´s atmosphere. They usually appear green but have also been known to materialize in yellow, pink, blue, violet or even red. They scatter across the sky and light up the darkness in a magnificent natural display of light and movement.

Since we are quite experienced when it comes to Northern Lights hunting, we know a thing or two about how to find the best possible viewing conditions. Before each tour, we study the weather forecast to help us decide on a location for the night. Our expert guides are veritable gurus when it comes to identifying the best locations to optimize our chances at spotting the lights. They rely on a combination of science-based aurora forecasts, a network of people in the field and 16 years of gut intuition, which means that no tour is the same.

Come with us and gaze upon the Northern Lights while they dance in the dark winter sky and engage in informative conversation about the phenomenon with our professional tour guides.

Because nature is unpredictable, no one can guarantee sightings, but what we can guarantee is an enjoyable and enlightening journey with the best shot at seeing the lights that you´ll find anywhere.
