Description

Join this tour to visit some of Iceland’s most stunning sights with excellent photography opportunities. Offering some of the most popular attractions in Iceland, the Golden Circle allows you to photograph geothermal areas, waterfalls, fissures, geysers and much more.

You'll get picked up in Reykjavík and whisked away to the Golden Circle. This tour is designed by photographers for photographers: You’ll spend the day in the company of fellow enthusiasts with a knowledgeable expert who can help you in capturing the perfect shot.

The tour highlights include (but are not limited to): Þingvellir National Park, the Geyser geothermal area in Haukadalur Valley and Gullfoss Waterfall.

Þingvellir National Park is a place of great geological and cultural importance. Stand where the Viking chieftains once stood to recite the laws of the nation 1,000 years ago, and take a panoramic shot of the entire valley. Then photograph the sparkling fissures which plunge deep into the earth.

If you like microphotography, capture the striations of earth layers in the gorge between the two continental plates, blades of grass or stones lining Þingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland.

Geysir geothermal area is full of similar wonders, such as mud pools, steaming springs and gaseous fumeroles. Of course, you must try to catch Strokkur, the most active of the geysers, in action as it shoots boiling water out of the ground and into the air, as high as 40 m (131 ft).

Gullfoss Waterfall is one of the grandest stops on the Ring Road around Iceland, and the final stop of the Golden Circle. A huge waterfall stretching across a wide gorge, it is powered by glacial meltwater. You can get great photos of the water in action as it thunders over the rocks and down into the canyon below by walking down the pathway that leads to a lovely spot directly over the falls.

In addition, there are a number of pretty places, interesting cliffs, smaller waterfalls and sun-speckled meadows where you might stop to capture your memories of this day.

Don’t miss this chance to take your photography skills to the next level and book this Golden Circle excursion now. Check availability by choosing a date.
