Your trip starts at our base at Reykjavik Domestic airport, where we welcome you and you can have some refreshments while we prepare our tour. At our base you will meet your pilot and he will inform you about the tour. All our pilots are professional and highly trained and really like to fly here in Iceland and show our guests what this country has to offer. We will fly in our Bell 407 helicopter.
After the take off you will enjoy the view over Reykjavik city and we will head north to the fjord Hvalfjordur, where we will fly over the biggest waterfall in Iceland, Glymur. Glymur is 198 meter high and the unique view from the helicopter is something that you will never forget.
From Glymur we will set our heading to the National Park Thingvellir. Thingvellir is one of the most famous historical places in Iceland and is part of the famous Golden Circle. There you can see where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart and have a good view over the national park. If we are lucky we will see some scuba divers in Silfra, due to the extremely clear water we are able to see the scuba divers diving in the water in the rift from the helicopter.
On the way back to Reykjavik we will stop at the geothermal area at Hengill volcano where you can walk around. The volcano Hengill is amongst the largest high-temperature geothermal areas in Iceland and it is always a nice spot to visit. You will also have the opportunity to see the steam columns from the geothermal at Hellisheiði and Nesjavellir during the flight from Hengill to Reykjavik.
This is a perfect way to make memories that you will never forget. Do not hesitate to write us or call us if you have any questions regarding our tours.
We are located at Nautholsvegur 56, right behind Reykjavik Hotel Natura, in the white ACE FBO house.
