Get the ultimate Icelandic adventure on this River Rafting & Icelandic Beer Tasting adventure tour, available directly from Reykjavik.

Choose between a Reykjavik pick up or meeting at the rafting base camp, Drumboddsstadir, for some adrenaline-pumping river rafting down the stunning Hvita River before tasting some of the best local beer Iceland has to offer!

The adventure starts at Drumboddsstaðir, a charming farm near the Golden Circle route. You start by meeting your certified guide who will provide you with all the necessary equipment for the rafting adventure. After getting geared up, you'll head down to Hvítá river in a bus where the guide will hold a safety briefing prior to the boats being dragged into the river.

Rafting down Hvítá River is a magnificent way to enjoy the Icelandic nature in a different way. Cruise down the great glacier river running all the way from Langjökull glacier, Iceland’s second biggest glacier, and take in the incomparable surroundings that the roaring river has created over the years, with Brúarhlöð canyon as one of the highlights.

The canyon has grand rock formations and portholes and you can see how the water has sculptured the breccia walls. Hvítá river also feeds the grand waterfall, Gullfoss, that is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland.

After the tour, return to our base camp again for a quick shower and sauna (optional) before getting a history lesson in Icelandic beer and beer culture. By then, your mouth will definitely be all watery and longing for a nice cold beer and that’s when the actual Icelandic beer tasting will begin; a platter of 4 local favourites for you to enjoy.

Please note that due to the beer tasting being included in this tour the age limit is 20 years as per the drinking age here in Iceland.

Don't delay any longer! Hurry now and wet your appetite for a drink with this exciting river rafting adventure! Check availability by choosing a date.
