Daily itinerary

Day 1 - Snowmobile

Race across Langjökull glacier on a snowmobile and feel the adrenaline surging in your veins.

This tour is the perfect choice for those looking to spice up their Golden Circle visit. You will meet your guides at 12:00 at the parking lot of the great Gullfoss waterfall. From there, you will board a large vehicle that will take you through the rough landscapes of the Highlands to Langjökull glacier.

At Langjökull, you will receive all necessary gear, such as warm overalls, helmet and, of course, your snowmobile. After a short introduction on how to operate these vehicles, you’ll mount your ride and head out to the blinding whiteness of the glacier.

The snowmobiles are double-riders and children over the age of seven can ride as passengers. However, if you or your group wish to ride alone, just select the add-on option ‘single rider’ during the booking process for all those wanting to ride alone in your group.

After a thrilling ride on the snowmobile, you’ll hop back on the monster truck and be transported back to Gullfoss waterfall where you can spend the rest of the day sightseeing around the Golden Circle.

Day 2 - Whale Watching

Sail out to Faxaflói Bay and try and spot a few whales.

Meet your captain and whale watching guide at the Old Harbour in Reykjavík at 13:00. They will take you onboard the vessel which will head out to the Faxaflói Bay where a wealth of both bird and marine life resides all year.

On board, you will find several outdoor viewing platforms, perfect for a tour like this. There is also a heated, indoor saloon with an onboard café where you can buy some light refreshments. It is recommended that you dress well, as it can be cold out on the high seas, but you will also find blankets and overalls onboard for the really cold days.

The most common sightings on this tour are Minke whales, Humpbacks, dolphins and porpoises and seeing them in their natural habitat is an experience you will never forget. However, this is wild nature, so sightings cannot be guaranteed, but in the unlikely case you don’t see any animals on your tour, you can come back another day for free.
