The excitement begins the moment you're picked up from your accommodation in Reykjavík! Driving along the spectacular South Coast, you will see the magnificent mountain and coastal scenery, as well as quintessential towns and villages.

All the way, your guide will feed you with interesting and sometimes little-known information about these fascinating places.

You will stop for lunch (not included) at the entrance to Skaftafell Nature Reserve. Here, you can nourish your body with good food and feast your eyes on some of the superb, unspoiled mountain scenery. The magnificent nature here really will whet your appetite for the ethereal, diamond-white majesty to come at Jökulsárlón, Iceland's "Crown Jewel".

You have around three hours to enjoy lunch and explore the beautiful Skaftafell Nature Reserve. During this time, you are welcome to hike up to the beautiful Svartifoss waterfall, famed for its glistening white water and mighty basalt columns. This is one of the area's most popular sights and inspired the architecture of Reykjavík's iconic church, Hallgrímskirkja.

Afterwards, you will continue across Breiðamerkursandur, a black sand plain that will really give you the opportunity to marvel at the power of the great glacial floods which have so marked the land here.

As you draw ever closer to the glittering highlight of this tour, Jökulsárlón, your excitement is sure to come to a crescendo—this is the must-see place in Iceland!

Beneath the towering great ice dome of Vatnajökull glacier, you will see diamond-white and blue-hued icebergs, of the most extraordinary shapes, many larger than a house. This truly is a mesmerizing one-of-a-kind place!

You will totally fall in love with the Diamond Beach near the ice lagoon. Icebergs float from the lagoon to the ocean where they are washed onto the beach. Imagine these astonishing diamond beauties sitting on a dramatic black beach! Be sure to bring your camera.
