Come along on an action-packed tour where you'll ride a snowmobile on top of Mýrdalsjökull glacier before visiting two of the South Coast's most iconic waterfalls, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss. Adventure-seekers looking to see the best of Iceland should not let this fantastic day tour pass them by.

From Reykjavík you'll be driven through the southern lowlands to Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland's fourth largest glacier. Onboard the bus is an audioguide in 10 different languages, so remember to bring along your headphones. There is also a wifi connection and a personal host who is ready to answer any questions you might have.

The tour kicks off with a thrilling snowmobile ride on top of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, under which lurks the much-feared active subglacial volcano, Katla. Don't worry if you've never been snowmobiling before, your guide will show you how and lend you all the equipment needed for the trip. You don't have to worry about Katla either, all volcanoes in Iceland are highly monitored.

As you race across the snowy wastes, you will breathe in the fresh cool air and feel the adrenaline pumping. The diverse scenery surrounding you is simply breathtaking, with glaciers rising majestically to the north and miles of coastal black sand beaches to the south. Everything here is on a grand scale.

On the way back to Reykjavík, you will stop at the impressive Skógafoss waterfall where a short walk up a flight of steps offers a panoramic view of magnificent South Coast. A local myth claims that hidden behind the fall is a chest filled with treasure. The next stop is at the beautiful 60-metre high Seljalandsfoss waterfall, renowned for the hidden pathway that takes you behind the curtain of water.

Experience Iceland's glorious wilderness with this exciting snowmobile tour. Check availability by choosing a date.

We toured Skogafoss, Seljalandfoss, and did a snowmobile tour of the Myrdalsjokull glacier. The waterfalls were breathtaking, and the countryside the perfect backdrop - we loved listening to grazing sheep bleating as we climbed Skogafoss, and we got fantastic pictures with Seljalandfoss and the rainbows painted by the spray. Snowmobiling to the top of Myrdalsjokull was a one-of-a-kind thrill and very accessible for first-time snowmobilers, with stunning views throughout and at the end. The snowmobile gear provided was comfortable, warm, and protected our clothes well. Highly recommend!
