Whale watching - Downtown Reykjavík

You are likely to see white-beaked dolphins throughout the year, renowned for their vast pods and acrobatic behavior. Harbor porpoises move at great speed across the water’s surface, and Minke Whales, which are beautiful if a little shy. Though uncommon, you may even see orcas, belugas, narwhals, and beaked whales.

In summer, more life returns to Iceland with the migration of the great whales and puffins. In terms of the former, the spectacular Humpback Whale is the most common, a creature renowned for its dramatic breaches. Blue Whales and Fin Whales can also be spotted throughout this season.

Winter trips, meanwhile, allow you to witness the surroundings caked in snow, making for some gorgeous panoramas.
