Flexible 4 Hour Whale Watching & Puffin Watching Tours Combo with Transfer from Reykjavik

Join this budget-friendly combo of both whale watching and puffin watching from Reykjavík Harbour and maximise your travel experience in Iceland. If you are a lover of wildlife and want to see Iceland’s most impressive animals without leaving the capital, this is the tour for you. 

Your adventure begins at the Old Harbour in the city centre of Reykjavík, where you will meet your experied guide for your first tour.

Thousands of puffins migrate from the open seas to Iceland each year to nest and breed, and many are found in the water venue of your adventure, Faxaflói Bay. Our designated Puffin Express boat, Old Skúli, has a shallow draft that enables us to get extra close to the islands where the puffins nest. Please note that during busy hours, other boats may be used.

You have two different choices for the whale watching tour: Classic and Express. The Classic tour is operated on one of the largest whale watching boats in Icleand, and features an educational and interactive focus on board. This tour is 3-3.5 hours in duration.  The Express tour is operated on a fast-cruising boat, which enables you to get out and back to the whale watching area much faster. This tour is 2-2.5 hours but allows you to spend the same amount of time in the whale watching area as the Classic tour. Both whale watching tours have spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas, restrooms, a cafeteria area, free Wi-Fi and thermal overalls for all passengers (including childrens sizes).

The four most common species that are seen on our whale watching tours are minke whales, humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. If nothing is seen on your whale watching tour, you will get a free ticket to try again - valid indefinitely. You select your tours by choosing a time to book:

9:00 departure begins with Classic Whale Watching, followed by Puffin Express. 10:00 departure begins with Express Whale Watching, followed by Puffin Express. 12:30 departure begins with Puffin Express, followed by Whale Watching Express. Please note that these are 2 different tours and you can choose to do them at different times or dates.
