The skies in Iceland

It´s human nature to take daily things for granted. But in recent years I´ve learnt to appreciate numerous things that only Iceland has to offer. One of those things is looking up and admiring the Icelandic sky. One of my most vivid memories from living abroad is watching the sun coming up after Hurricane Katrina when I lived in New York. The colours and calmness of the surroundings are engraved in my mind.

But it was only when I took foreigners around Iceland that I realised how unique the sky here is. Part of it has to be the geographical lay of the island but whatever it is I´m willing to state that it can´t be matched. Feel free to comment if you disagree!
