The Skrimslis is located here
The Skrimslis (also known as the Skrimsli Workshop) brings Icelandic folklore to life with handmade wool monsters called Skrimslis. Crafted from authentic Icelandic wool and leftover fabrics, each Skrimsli is sustainable, unique, and full of character—turning a cozy workshop experience into a cultural keepsake.
Founded by Alma Björk, the workshop is nestled by the sea just outside Reykjavík. It welcomes all to a hands-on, creative session where materials are provided and guests design their own monster while enjoying serene views and folklore-filled storytelling.
Over the years, Skrimslis have become one of Iceland’s most beloved souvenirs, sold in over 20 shops nationwide or made in person during a memorable visit.
