Welcome to Aska Hostel- Westman Islands

The Hostel has prime location, only 5 min walk if you come with Herjólfur (the ferry). Only few steps away are shops and restaurants. It takes 10 min walk to Eldheimar A volcano museum and 15 min walk to swimming pool.

Although the rooms are just 8 we offer rooms for 2 prs, 3 prs, 4 prs and a large family room on two floors with beds for 6-8 prs all these rooms have excellent beds and linen.

We are Hostel and offer bunk bed in dorm rooms (visitors share a room with other guests). This accommodation is cheaper, guests bring there sleeping bag but its possible to rent a duvet.

All rooms have shared bathrooms, we have total four private showers.

During the summer (May-August) we offer a simple breakfast for guests. Guest have access to small kitchen with fridge, oven and microwave.

The name ASKA simply means ASH and refers to the volcanic eruption in 1973. Of course the lava flow and ashes were a terrible thing but it also showed the true heart and courage of the people of Vestmannaeyjar and hospitality since those fortunate enough to keep their houses took in others less fortunate.
