It was a long journey (which we knew before we left of course) but it was certainly worth it. We got to see some beautiful nature (waterfalls, black sand beaches, diamond beach and majestic Jökulsarlon glacier lake). If I had rented a car, I would have taken two days instead of one for this itinerary but it was a luxury to have a brave driver and a friendly Icelandic guide who could embellish his stories with real inside information. All in all, it was an amazing day.
