Two days ago I went on a little trip for photographing purpose. The weather was quite cloudy and looked like rain where I started.
As I drove past Hellissandur and to the tip of the Snæfellsnes peninsula the weather got much better and the scenerys looked improving. My first stop was at Gufuskálar and Gufuskálavör.
At Gufuskálar you can see the 412 meter high radio mast as its hard to miss. There is also an ancient landing for fishing boats at Gufuskálavör.
My next stop was Öndverðarnes and Svörtuloft where you can see massive cliffs and rough waters. Alot of ships have smashed against those rocks and many men lost there lives through the ages.
There you can see the old lighthouse called Skálasnagaviti.
As I had finished photographing there I continued my drive around Snæfellsjökull glacier. I stopped at an abandoned farm called Dagverðará. It is quite impressive as the glacier rises above the old abandoned house.
Next stop was Lóndrangar and Þúfubjarg as I witnessed the beautiful scenery when the sun was setting down.
At last on my way home I could not resist stopping at Skarðsvík and seeing the final daylight of that beautiful day.
If you are traveling around Snæfellsnes it is worth it to make a few stop and seeing the scenery.
