You’ll be picked up in Reykjavík in the morning and whisked away to the stables just outside of Hveragerði town where you will meet your guide and horse for the day. Your guide will pair you up with a horse that suits your riding capabilities and your personality. After a short introduction to the Icelandic horse, you will mount your stallion and make your way to the wild Icelandic nature. You’ll spend about an hour in the saddle, riding through the stunning countryside, with views of snow-capped mountains the entire way. 

After the ride, you’ll get to relax in Hveragerði’s geothermal swimming pool. The pool itself is heated all year round using geothermal energy from the ground. This makes a visit to it possible in both the summer and the wintertime alike. You can soak in the warm waters of the tubs, swim a few laps in the pool, or relax in the steam sauna before towelling off and heading to the local hotel for a light lunch. From there you’ll board a vehicle heading back to Reykjavík, returning to the city shortly after lunchtime which gives you plenty of time to explore the capital and go on other adventures.
