Lava Horses

Der Reitausflug war ein besonderer Höhepunkt unserer Islandreise. Meine Mädels (5 und 12 Jahre) waren begeistert. Wir konnten mit unserer netten deutschsprachigen Reitbegleitung völlig frei durch die Lavalandschaft reiten. Mit den Islandpferden ist das gar kein Problem und es gehört irgendwie zu einem Islandurlaub dazu ;-)

This was one of my favorite experiences of Iceland. My girlfriend and I were the only ones on the tour. Our guide was exceptional. She gave us a background on each horse, her farm, and even brought her farm dog on the tour. We talked to the guide about our desire to see the northern lights and she even emailed us later that night that the lights were out and where to watch them! Overall awesome experience!

Guide was friendly and great conversation, very knowledgeable about the area and the community. Landscape was stunning and the horses had personality but were still good to ride, even for beginners. Overall a really great experience and a really interesting way to see the flora and fauna of iceland.
