We are two brothers from Reykjavík, Iceland. You can call us the “Smárasons” if you’d like, but in Iceland we only ever use the person’s first name, so we prefer “Reynir” and “Ívar”. Nice to meet you!
From a young age, we’ve been working and gathering experience in different fields. Most of our combined experiences come from service, sales, and support jobs. We thought it was about time we tapped into those experiences and put them to work for us!
With a burning passion for creating our own company, and providing folks with amazing experiences of travel and service we decided to open Viking Wheels Car Rental!
Reynir (Rey) is the older one, by two years. Currently living abroad, he spends his days annoying those around him with endless tales of Iceland; its beauty, and amazing people. Alongside working on Viking Wheels, Rey works in customer support for a small tech company. He also has years of experience in the service industry in three different countries (Iceland, Denmark, and Spain).
Ívar has also worked in the service industry, in restaurants and bars in Reykjavík. Besides that, he lived Jim Halbert’s dream of being a bicycle salesman for a number of years. Currently, Ívar drives Reykjavík’s best-kept taxi (seriously, he’s obsessed with keeping a clean car!).
