Fossá Síðu waterfall is 16 kilometres from the location and it can be seen from afar as a white strip of water falling down the cliffs. There is no official parking onsite but there is plenty of space to park briefly.
Systravatn, also known as Sister’s lake, is located at the edge of the rocky belt just 21 km from the cottage. The lake holds an interesting folklore that you might learn from the locals during your stay.
