Ice Guide

It was very Nice and beautiful !

Wir waren begeistert von der Kajakfahrt auf der Gletscherlagune. Wir haben nicht nur die Eisberge von nahem, sondern auch Seehunde gesehen - am Strand und schwimmend. Da wir eine recht große Gruppe mit zwei Guides waren, wurde diese in zwei kleine Gruppen aufgeteilt. Dadurch waren wir flexibler als in einer großen Gruppe, und unser Guide konnte gut mit uns kommunizieren. Er hat uns interessante Informationen gegeben und die Gruppe gut zusammen gehalten. Vor der Fahrt wurden wir gut ausgerüstet mit Drysuit , Gummistiefeln und Schwimmweste. Für uns hätte die Fahrt netto (ohne Rüstzeiten) gerne etwas länger sein dürfen.

I would do this again over any type of boat, going out on the kayaks was the best choice! It was calm first but then a massive glacier that we were in front of (not too close of course) totally broke apart and caused a lot of movement in the lagoon which was absolutely epic! Our guide Stefan kept his cool and made sure everyone was safe the whole time. The sound of massive glaciers breaking and crackling is the coolest thing. I would totally do this again!

We were so lucky to have a sunny day and everything was perfect. We also saw a seal lion on a ice rock! Highly recommended!
