Hotel Grimsborgir is a luxury hotel located 70 km east of Reykjavik in the heart of the Golden Circle, nestled on the bank of river Sogid surrounded by stunning landscape. Some of the highlights of Iceland´s nature, geography and history are within easy reach.

The accommodation consists of 68 superior twin or double rooms, 7 junior suites, 5 studio apartments for up to 4 guests and 7 big apartments in a private house with 4 bedrooms for up to 8 guests. All rooms come with balcony or terrace and access to one of 29 geothermal hot tubs on site, private or shared.

Hotel Grimsborgir offers a renowned restaurant with a la carte menu that features Icelandic and international dishes made with fresh local ingredients and seating for up to 240 guests. Live music entertains nightly at Grimsborgir's restaurant.

The hotel is a 50-minute drive from Iceland's capital Reykjavik and 1.5 hour from Keflavik International Airport.

Spend unforgettable winter holidays in the Icelandic countryside and enjoy various activities close by: glacier super jeep tours, snow mobile rides, horseback riding and hiking. Not to forget the famous attractions of the Golden Circle: the waterfall Gullfoss, the hot water fountain Geysir and the National Park Þingvellir.

Our hotel is situated far away from light pollution and is therefore the perfect place to experience the spectacular Northern Lights! We offer an optional wake-up call if Northern Lights are spotted in the sky. Our guests can also enjoy hot drinks while waiting for the display of lights.
