The three Freezer Apartments are studio apartments on the cliffs of Hellissandur on the coast of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The Freezer Apartments are located on the northern shore of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula; before them are beautiful seascapes all the way to the Westfjords, and behind them is the charming village of Hellissandur. Here, you can find groceries and other services travellers require, such as gas.
From the apartments, it could not be easier to travel around the many attractions that have granted this region the nickname ‘Iceland in Miniature’. Snaefellsjokull National Park, for example, is just around the corner and famous for its central subglacial volcano and surrounding sites. The black sand beach of Djupalonnsandur can be reached in 20 minutes, the basalt sea stacks of Londrangar in 25, and the stunning village of Arnarstapi in half an hour.
Outside of the national park, Mount Kirkjufell is the most famous feature on the peninsula and also only 30 minutes away. The most distant attraction, Stykkisholmur, the largest town in the region, is still only an hour on the road.
