The Hrimland Cottages are situated only three miles (five kilometers) from central Akureyri, the largest town in North Iceland. This settlement has a range of services for travelers, such as grocery stores, restaurants, tour information centers, and gas stations. Akureyri is also known for its boutiques and cultural attractions, such as the Hof Cultural Center, a botanical garden, a golf course, and swimming pools.

The town is also one of the whale-watching centers of Europe, with operators often boasting 100 percent success ratings throughout the summer. Eyjafjordur, the fjord Akureyri is adjacent to, is home to white-beaked dolphins and harbor porpoises throughout the year and humpback whales and puffins in summer. Facilities and Amenities

The Hrimland Cottages can accommodate eight guests each, with a spacious double bedroom, another room with two single beds and two bunk beds, and a smaller twin room.
