Though a little off the beaten track, the houses are a fabulous base from which to explore north Iceland’s most popular attractions. The majestic waterfall of Godafoss, meanwhile, takes just forty minutes to reach, whereas the Lake Myvatn area and whale-watching centre of Husavik are less than an hour and a half away.

Each of the lovely Silva Holiday Homes has a fully-furnished kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, and a comfortable, welcoming living area. The smallest home has a large bedroom with three single beds; the middle one has a double room and a room with two bunk-beds; whereas the largest has one room with three singles and two bedrooms with two single beds. All also have a sofa bed for an extra guest.
