I highly recommend the 8-Day guided tour of the complete Ring Road. I was solo traveling, so I wasn't very keen on renting a car because of the changin weather, and I think I took the best decision because having a knowledgeable guide really makes a difference to know places and culture better. Our guide (Jon) was a local and he would explain us in detail about places we were passing by as well as local stories. He also took care of explaining the dangers of the weather, or in places like Reynisfjara, so that is greatly appreciated. Hotels were nice, some better than others, but overall ok and with breakfast included, which saves a lot of money because food is a little expensive there, and Jon always made sure we stopped on supermarkets or gas stations to buy snacks or get something for dinner if you didn't want to eat at a restaurant. Also the mini bus was confortable for moving around. The trip was great, and all places incredibly beautiful, even when cloudy, and very interesting too when you learn why they are like that. Defenitely worth it, I want to go back again!
