Entering The 1238 Battle of Iceland museum, guests enter the main exhibition room where various replicas of weapons and other items from the Age of the Sturlungs are presented along with informative educational panels.

Some major highlights include the digital replica of the Viking ship used in the Battle of Iceland, an interactive map of North Iceland showing the locations of significant historical battles, and an exhibit on Icelandic folklore. The exhibit also has a collection of clothing similar to those worn during the Viking era, which guests can dress up in for a fantastic photo opportunity.

Finally, the virtual reality re-creation of the Battle of Orlygsstadir is the highlight of the exhibit, where guests can participate in the battle. Before stepping onto the battlefield, guests are briefed by staff on the basics of virtual reality.
