Úlfarsfell is a mountain about twelve kilometres (seven miles) Reykjavík. It stands at 296 metres (971 feet) tall.

Úlfarsfell is a popular recreational area; located just outside of Mosfellsbӕr (a town in the Greater Reykjavík Area), it is easy to reach from the capital by bus, car or bike.

The mountain is most popular for hiking and for ATV and buggy tours, with several routes heading up to the peak.

From the top, visitors can admire some incredible views of west Iceland. You will be able to see the impressive Mount Esjan, the Bláfjall mountain range, Faxaflói Bay, the Reykjanes Peninsula and in notably clear weather, the Snӕfellsnes Peninsula.

Visits to Úlfarsfell are often combined with a look around the recreational area of Heiðmörk. This is a beautiful and popular place to hike, with sprawling forests and the stunning lake Elliðavatn.
