Blue Iceland

We had a great experience with our guide Pavel. It was amazing because we were the only two ones on the tour, so it was basically „private“ which is usually not normal I guess. Our guide told us a lot about the backgrounds of the glacier and ice caves, so that was really interesting and it was a mixture of casual talks and learning new things. We reached multiple ice caves and our expectations were exceeded, although Pavel said in the beginning that this year is no good season for ice caving.

guide to icelandのバウチャーから集合場所を開くと、Googleマップの氷河湖近くの無料駐車場が表示されますが、集合場所は有料駐車場ですので注意してください。 どのツアーも有料駐車場から出発みたいです。 3時間ツアーと迷いましたが、ここまで来るからにはとこちらの6時間ツアーにしました。 結果的に大満足です。 自然にできた洞窟、氷河の割れ目に数箇所連れて行ってもらいました。 氷河を間近で見るのと、上を歩くのは全く違いめちゃくちゃ良かったです。 集合場所から行き帰りそれぞれ45分かかり、アイゼンやハーネスの説明などもありますが、実質4時間ほど氷河を楽しめます。 その間トイレなどはありません。 地域的に風が平地よりも強く小雨も降り体力は奪われていきますので、軽食、飲み物はあった方が良いです。 ただ、そこまで歩くわけではないので氷河を満喫したい方はこちらのツアーの方がおすすめかなと思います。

Such a great way to discover the Vatnajökull glacier. Anja, our guide, made sure we are safe throughout the trip and showed us incredible caves, crevices and ice formations. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to spend more time on the ice and away from big crowds. Just make sure to dress very warm, as it gets cold waiting to make pictures.
