Blue Iceland

Unser Guid Michael war top. Er hatte sehr viel Hintergrundwissen und war richtig gut drauf. Die Fahrt zum Gletscher war schon ein reines Abenteuer, da man fernab jeglicher Straßen fährt. Die Wanderung selbst war sehr beeinruckend. Hier merkt man wieder, wie klein und unbedeutend man ist.

First, our tour guide "Pavel" was a super friendly guy and very knowledgable + helpful to our family of 4 including 2 adults & 2 daughters ages 12 & 14. In addition to walking along a glacier, a highlight was walking into the ice cave. Totally awesome and making great memories event for our family. Highly recommend!

We did the hike in the summer and didn't realize that it would look so different from the pictures. It was wonderful, but the ash on Icelandic glaciers gives a very different appearance in the summer. We went into a beautiful ice cave and it really drove home the consequences and dangers of global warming.

Michael has been a fantastic guide and told us a lot of interesting info about the glacier. Given the sad history how the glacier developed in the last years and the respective outlook, we can consider ourselves lucky to see it and even enter an ice cave. Michael helped a lot to get good photos and brought us home safely :)
