Golden Circle Car Rental

We thought the rental company was located at the airport, they were not. There was also confusion about pickup. We had to call 3 or 4 times from the airport before the shuttle from the company arrived for us. The car we were issued had 287224 KM or 178472.72 miles on the odomiter. It had a great deal of rust and body damage. I doubt the validity that it was a 2023. The staff working at the rental agency were helpful and did issue us a portable WiFi device. It made our trip much more manageable. The return of the car was quick and no hassle. They also got us back to the airport timely.

Problemlose Übergabe und Rücknahme des Mietwagens. Transfer zum Flughafen incl. alles top ... da das gebuchte Auto nicht verfügbar war, konnten wir nur einen kleineren Wagen bekommen. Der hat aber völlig ausgereicht und die Differenz wurde umgehend zurückerstattet. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Friendly and helpful staff! We had a problem with our first rental and they quickly exchanged the car out for us. The car was in good condition and exactly what we needed for our adventure.

We booked our rental car through Guide to Iceland. We had a car from Golden Circle Car Rental. It was confusing when we arrived at the airport, because no one had heard of them. I had to call. It turns out we got our car at Ice Rental 4x4. We were supposed to have a Toyota Hybrid, but they gave us a free upgrade to a 4x4. That was a welcome surprise! We were advised ahead of time to rent a WiFi hotspot, and we did. We much appreciated that advice. I got an email from Get Your Guide the day before we left saying to return our car to Golden Circle Car Rental. We put that in Google Directions, and the place was closed. I tried calling and got no answer. I then put in Ice Rental 4x4, and that's where we were supposed to be. Thankfully we had plenty of time, so it wasn't a problem. The price was right. The workers at 4x4 were extremely helpful. Except for the confusion we were very happy with our car and the service. It turns out that Golden Circle has gone under, and Ice Rental 4x4 took over their reservations. Apparently Get Your Guide wasn't aware of that..Very satisfied with the car and service. Wouldn't hesitate using Ice Rental 4x4 again.
