Dry suit diving in Iceland

Dry suit diving in Iceland has become increasingly popular. It's a great way to explore colder water areas of the world in warm and comfort. Iceland's top trip is Silfra Diving

Heat, life & atmosphere - the way of the dry suit diver

When you visit Iceland and dive at places like Silfra, it doesn't take long to understand about the importance and value of a dry suit; its probably the most important aspect of the entire experience, (apart from having enough air)! Many people ask me; "What is the difference between a wet suit and a dry suit"? Answer: Dry suits are different from wet suits in the way they insulate your body; simply put, one is dry, the other always wet then eventually very very cold - the end result can be brutal and potentially dangerous. What's nice about wearing a dry suit is being sealed at the neck and wrists, meaning everything with help of physics should, and will remain dry...Well that's the plan anyway!

Scuba diving inside a nicely fitted dry suit is fantastic! It's difficult to describe in words but imagine wearing a sleeping bag with arms and legs, being completely dry and knowing that you are underwater all at the same time - there are some things in life that need to be experienced - this is one of them.
