Breiddalsvik is a tiny hamlet in East Iceland within the incredible valley of Breiddalur.

With a population of just around 140 people, Breiddalsvik encapsulates small-town Icelandic life. Many popular hikes lead away from the settlement, such as through the Jorvikurskogur forest and around the East Fjords. It is also a great location to look out for wild reindeer.
