Alles einfach super!👌 Wir buchten einen Minicamper, um innerhalb einer Woche über die asphaltierte Ringroad komplett um Island zu fahren. Mit langsameren Tempo, konnten wir auch Schotterstraßen befahren. Das Auto war mit gerade mal 260 Km auf dem Tacho noch nagelneu! Durch die Integrierte Standheizung wurde es auch Nachts nicht kalt. Das Fahrverhalten des Renault Kangoo war auch auf unebenen oder nassen Straßen stabil. Die Kommunikation klappte reibungslos, über WhatsApp (auf Englisch). Wir wurden direkt vom Airport in Keflavik abgeholt und zur nahegelegenen Garge, des Vermieters gebracht. Die zusätzlich dazu buchbaren Gaskocher, Bettzeug, Handtücher etc. sind auch zu empfehlen, um das Reisegepäck klein zu halten. Alles in einem ein sehr gutes und preiswertes Gesamtangebot !⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I rented a Renault Trafic campervan from Island Campers for a week. We spent a long time choosing a car and a supplier, reading reviews. Island Campers had no reviews, but they had an attractive price and good photos. We assumed that this was a new rental company and placed an order. We were not mistaken about either the company or the car - everything was great! The owner of the company met us at the airport and took us to the rental office. After receiving instructions, we began our journey. The car was brand new (2024), with only 2,000 kilometers and an automatic transmission. Driving along the empty roads of Iceland on cruise control is a pleasure; you spend more time enjoying the views from the Renault Trafic cabin. The diesel engine is powerful enough to leave a grassy campsite in the morning after a night of rain or overtake a truck on the highway. Soundproofing is good, and fuel consumption is efficient. A full tank (80 liters) is enough for 1,100 km. The car is equipped with a cabin heater, which turned out to be very useful in Iceland. You can not only warm up after a walk in the rain but also dry some clothes while you sleep. The camper is also equipped with a refrigerator, cabin lighting, fast USB charging, a gas stove, and kitchen utensils. We additionally rented bedding (down pillows and blankets) and towels. As a result, our trip was very comfortable. I highly recommend Island Campers and the Renault Trafic for traveling as a couple. You will not have to pitch tents in the rain, and you will have a place to wait out the bad weather. Just open the door and go inside, as if you were at home. I think this travel option is ideal in terms of price and convenience.

The van‘s front window broke because of a small stone from the road but we had the zero risk insurance so we didn‘t have to worry about it at all.
